Fabulous Trends: Fall 2012 Make Up Trends

Hi Guys,

I hope you are all well.

Today I am doing a post I have been meaning to do for quite a while! I am covering the Fall (A/W) 2012 Beauty Trends.

This Fall we will be seeing colour, dramatic looks filled with personality and a twist on the classic looks! These are a round up of what was seen at various fashion houses!

A clean make up free face was big on the beauty scene with many shoes sporting a minimal make up look such as Giles, Chloe and Christopher Kane or else a Glossy Skin look portraying a wet feel to the face such as looks seen as Oscar de la Renta, Preen and Kenzo were sought after looks on the runway.

Apart from a minimal make up look, the English Rose look with flushed cheeks made heads turn at various shows such as Michael Kors, Temperley London and Vanessa Bruno whilst other designers went for a more sculpted, soft bronzed look such as Alberta Ferretti and Loewe.

Designers also decided to incorporate the two looks together having a contoured cheekbone and a subtle pink blush which was then matched to the lips as seen at Christian Dior and Emilio PucciAlberta Ferretti, as seen above, used the sculpted cheek look only with the lip colour matched to the  blush.

Whilst some designers decided to keep make up very minimal, others opted for bold, sexy, warm colours! Metallic Green Smoky Eye looks made headlines at John Galliano, Jason Wu whilst Roberto Cavalli added a purple and gold shadow to brighten up the look even more!

Other designers channelled a Sunset feel using bold orange and red looks as seen at Dries Van Noten, Narciso Rodriguez and Donna Karan. Since make up artists covered the whole eye, this may not be a look you will wear out however apply the shade on your lids and pair it with a brown or black shade.

If you do not want to play around with your eyeshadow, a bold eyeliner statement may just do the trick! Thick black eyeliner was seen at a variety of shows such as Lanvin and Moschino whilst Mary Katrantzou and Anna Sui played with eyeliner shapes and colours.

Brows also made a statement this season!! Forget the over plucked eyebrow but bring on the thick eyebrows as seen at Valentino and Christopher Kane. Chanel on the other hand gave a new meaning to bejeweled bliss by be-dazzling the models' eyebrows!

And my most favourite trend this season... Red Hot Lips and Dark Sepia Lips bringing back the 1950s and the Gothic Look to 2012! Marc by Marc Jacobs and Victoria Beckham both challenged the Hollywood Glam look whilst Gucci and Givenchy brought their vamp on!

Which trend/s are you excited about??

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed drawing up this post!!
