Halloween Look!

Hi All!

So as you may have noticed we have changed our blog layout!! It took quite a while but we managed to get it looking brand new after a day's work!

After we finished our blog we decided to do a Halloween Look for you! We haven't done a FOTD in a long time so we decided to do this look for you!

So basically we went a bit crazy with the glitter since we wanted a vampy fairy-ish look so I applied this look on Denise I basically did glitter all over her eyelid then stuck on sequins at one side of her face and a design on the other side of her face which i traced with the Jemma Kidd i-conic pencil in pinup which is a metallic dark blue and i added a few shadings in the curling part with the e.l.f shimmering eyeliner in twinkle teal to give that contrasting 3D effect.

Glitter Side

Design Side

We had a blast doing this look! So the products I used are:

Wet 'n Wild Foundation in Porcelain
e.l.f Studio HD Powder
Blue Glitter & Sequins
Jemma Kidd i-conic eyes in Pinup (under eyes and design)
e.l.f  Shimmering Eyeliner in Twinkle Teal
e.l.f Hollywood Lashes
L'Oreal Face and Body Powder in Argent Silver
Missha Lipstick in Delight Red
e.l.f Lipgloss in Angel- to stick sequins and glue (NOTE: Eyelash glue is better to stick I used lipgloss since I applied and she put them off after photos were taken, one offs are ok but do not use these type of methods frequently!)

We hope you like the look as much as we enjoyed creating it for you!!!

Here are some more photos for you!!

Threading plus rings, moisturiser and vitamins haul!

Hi !!

Hope everything is well!

I've heard of threading before, though never knew it was done in Malta, so when I saw a post on Ayurveda's facebook page, I got more interested so I booked an appointment and had my face threaded. They are sooo friendly!!

For whoever has never heard of threading, here is some info:

Threading hair is an ancient method commonly practiced in Eastern countries, like Egypt and India, but is becoming very popular here in the West. Threading removes the entire hair follicle, lasting up to 6 weeks.

How Does it Work?

A cotton thread is pulled along unwanted hair in a twisting motion, to trap hair in a mini lasso, and lifts hair right out of the follicle.
What's good about threading?
  1. It's extremely sanitary. Nothing but the thread touches the skin, and it's thrown away after use.
  2. Great for people with 'trouble' brows. Threading has this amazing ability to be so concise in the hair that it removes. It's sworn by people who say they can never get their eyebrows even, despite tweezing, waxing or sugaring.
  3. No chemicals are applied on the skin. When people have certain circumstances, or are taking medicine that conflicts with waxing and sugaring, they can still get threading done.
  4. Is's very fast.

It's not only done on the eyebrows! Can be done on most parts of the body.
Here's a link to the salon's facebook page : http://www.facebook.com/#%21/ayurveda.stylish.wellbeing

It's not only a salon, but also a heatlh shop.  Plus lots of cruelty free hair, body and make-up stuff !  There are also candles and perfumes!

I bought a pencil by BWC (BEAUTY WITHOUT CRUELTY) They are 100% VEGAN, FRAGRANCE FREE, CARMINE FREE, TALC-FREE POWDERS, PARABEN FREE, PEG, TOULENE, PHTHALATE & FORMALDEHYDE FREE
It's so pigmented and last long! It's also perfect to apply on waterline!   take a look:

(my eyebrows here are done with threading)

Here's BWC's website for more info:   http://www.bwcv.com/index.html

Now over to something else!!

Last Sunday, I was at Baystreet and as always, couldn't help but go in the shop next to Frank's on the 2nd floor! (forgot name . .) There's so many cute stuff, including Hello Kitty!! <3 <3
Anyways, I bought 2 rings :

Jumping on to the recent moisturiser I bought!!

I have always wanted to try Elizabeth Arden's 8 hr cream. So I bought it and I really expected the scent to be ..um...better. It kinda smells like an anti-mosquito cream . . . After a while, you will get used to it. It's not a bad moisturiser though. Other moisturisers smell much better and are as good and much less expensive.

This moisturiser smells divine!!   :

I bought it at a salon in Mosta called Beautilicious.

Now off to vitamins!!

I had this book called Detox for life and I finally decided to start doing some recipes and following it!! It's a mainly vegan detox and gluten free. So it's not difficult for me, cos I already am Vegan (getting better anyway . . )

It also recommends some vitamins, including : Spirulina, milk thistle, chlorella, antioxidans, kelp and so on.

I have bought kelp, antioxidants and milk thistle till now. Will buy others soon!

That's all for today! Please write any comments and suggestions below!!

e.l.f Studio Bronzers Swatches and Review

Hey Beauty Lovers!

So today I will be reviewing probably my favourite product the e.l.f Studio Bronzers which I LOVE!! So basically there are three types of bronzers: Cool, Warm and Golden which retail for $3 on the US website and 3.50 pounds/ 4 euro on the UK website. All these bronzers come in a sleek black case and they each contain 0.4 oz/ 13g of product. As you might have read in my elf haul I've had these for a bit more than a year. I personally use the warm bronzer the most which  goes on EVERYDAY and my old bronzer had nearly hit pan but had around a month/ 2 months worth of product in it before my cat smashed it and I had to buy another one so these bronzers last for a long time!

From Left to Right: Golden Bronzer, Warm Bronzer, Cool Bronzer

From Left to Right:Golden Bronzer, Warm Bronzer, Cool Bronzer

e.l.f Studio Cool Bronzer

Don't let the name fool you this is probably the darkest bronzer of all the three. I only use this bronzer for the pink part when I need a darkish pink (I usually use this pink in autumn and winter more since the tone is more warm then cool so I feel its more adaptable for these particular two seasons) or else when I need a darker contour (mostly for make up looks not when I go out).

These photos are both of the Cool Bronzer's individual colours, they are the same photo but one is taken with flash and the other one isn't. As you can see the pink is quite a darkish pink quite suitable for autumn/winter.

This is how the Cool Bronzer looks blended, this is quite a dark colour for me.

e.l.f Studio Warm Bronzer

I LOVE this bronzer, I cannot stay without this bronzer I absolutely love it! It is such a natural bronzer and really makes a difference. The other day I just put on blush and I felt that without the bronzer the look wasn't complete! This bronzer really makes a difference to my look.

These photos are both of the Warm Bronzer's individual colours, they are the same photo but one is taken with flash and the other one isn't.

As you can see from the Blended Warm Bronzer photos it is quite a natural colour.

e.l.f Studio Golden Bronzer

This bronzer is quite a natural bronzer and is not as rich as the warm bronzer in the sense that it usually doesn't show up that much if you don't put on alot of bronzer, It has its advantages though since when I got really tanned my foundation didn't match me and I opted to use this bronzer lightly over most of my face and it really made a difference!

These photos are both of the Golden Bronzer's individual colours, they are the same photo but one is taken with flash and the other one isn't.

These photos are the Golden Bronzer when blended together, the first photo was taken with flash and the second photo was taken in natural light. As you can see it is quite a natural colour with a hint of shimmer.

All in all I love these bronzers, great quality for an even greater price and a really nice pay off from all the Bronzers!

I hope you liked my review! If you would like other reviews comment below!

Until next time!

Orchid Health & Beauty Parlour Rave!

Hi All!

I have been meaning to write this blog post for a long time but since I started a new job the amount of time I have to write blog posts is very limited.

So this blog post is mainly for Maltese fans or if you aren't in Malta then when you come and visit go visit the place I am going to mentoin below!

Basically my friend Jennifer owns a salon called Orchid and for my birthday she sent me an offer I couldn't resist! She offered me any of her services at a discounted price so I chose to do a manicure since I had never done one before!

I had never met Jennifer before but I had spoken to her on facebook and she is one of the nicest persons I have met! She welcomed me whole heartedly and showed me around the salon.

The manicure I chose was the Signature Manicure which lasted around 45 minutes and included the following:

  1. Sanitization of the hands
  2. Appication of cuticle cream
  3. Pushing back cuticle
  4. Filing
  5. Buffing
  6. Application of oil
  7. An exfoliation of the hands
  8. An activator for exfoliation
  9. Mask for the hands
  10. Finishing cream
Not only was the manicure really relaxing but my hands felt really soft afterwards! The experience was furthermore pleasurable since I really enjoyed talking with Jennifer since she is very knowledgeable about beauty and I especially enjoyed it since she is also a make up artist!

Jen also applied nail art for me, as you can see from the picture below she applied a nice peachy colour and a cute flower on top and this nail polish lasted for more than a month since she applied a gel top coat which is gentle on the nails!

Orchid don't only offer manicures as you can see from Jen's website Orchid Website, Jen also gives make up courses, you can like her facebook page were she always gives new offers, details about new courses and new products Orchid Facebook Page!

I hope you liked this post and please head over to Orchid's Website and Facebook page and show Jen some love!! :-)

Until next time!
